leaders Liberia was an absolute necessity. Nigeria are now 2 points behind Liberias in second with 2 games to go.
Kanu opened the scoring on 12 minutes with a header from a
Babangidi cross, and put
in a performance which has been described as his best yet for the SuperEagles. Agali made it 2-0 in the second half.

Lauren's Cameroon didn't fare so well with a 2-0 loss to Angola.
But their situation isn't half as precarious: their was the first match they've faiuled to win, and their lead at the top
of the group has been cut from 7 to 4 points.
