Arsenal midfielder Junichi Inamoto stood out as man of the match as Japan drew 2-2 against Belgium in their opening game in the World Cup. The 22-year-old scored Japan's second goal, as well as impressing with accurate passing and tenacious tackling. At the death, Inamoto scored a perfectly good goal after dribbling through the Belgian defence - but it was disallowed...
Simon adds...
Indeed, Inamoto stood out for another reason - the sudden blonde tint to his (formerly rather ginger?) hair. The Japanese camp appeared to have been attacked by terrorist hairdressers, with Our Junichi only one of their victims. (See the before and after pics for the awful truth.) Particular praise goes to Kazuyuki Toda, whom we love - surprise, surprise - because he's got red hair. Not just a stripe, either... this fella went the whole way.
