Despite coming through 90 minutes of a reserve game on
Tuesday, Tony Adams was left out of yesterday's
loss to Liverpool.
It seems that it wasn;t just the form of Grimandi and Keown that kept him out. Arsène Wenger has said that Adams is still
not match fit. So much so, that he's refusing to release him
for England's friendly with Argentina next week.
"We live in a crazy world but I'm not that crazy", he said,
"while he is not playing for his club there is no chance
that he can play for his country."
It makes sense, and with every match between now and the end of the season now vital to our Champions Leage hopes we wouldn;t
want Adams risked. But sadly for the player, this could give others the chance to claim
a spot ahead of him for this summer's European Nations tournament.
