Bob Wilson has announced that he is to retire as Arsenal's goalkeeping coach at the end of this season. He is expected
to tone down his TV work as well.
"I want to travel around the world and show it to my wife. I was lucky as a player to see many things but in life every so often you say that enough is enough and I believe that next summer is the time to stop as Arsenal's goalkeeping coach."
"Of course I have enjoyed my time here but you have to know when it is time to stop."
Bob has given us many years of excellent service, and has
stayed particularly popular among Arsenal fans by never
shying away from showing his Arsenal allegiance in his TV work.
It's not bad timing for Arsenal either, as Bob has just overseen
the installation of a new goalkeeping hero in Richard Wright.
It'll be interesting to see if Seaman can be tempted to stay
and oversee Wright's development as his successor.
