Former Arsenal left back and eternal hero Nigel Winterburn looks forward to return to Highbury - as a West Ham player. "I have had a good rapport with the Arsenal fans over the years and it will be good to go back there," Nutty says to Soccernet. At the end of last season, Winterburn explains, while he was unsure about his Arsenal future himself, the fans reckoned he would leave. "We played Sheffield Wednesday near the end of last season and Arsene Wenger substituted me. The fans gave me a great reception as I walked off. At that time I wasn't sure what I would be doing but they knew already!" The always modest Nigel also says: "I don't expect anything of them when I go back, though, and they know I will be trying everything I know to help beat their team. That's how it should be." But who knows, benign Arsenal fans might be making plans for Nigel?
