The London heats of the ongoing 'Masters League Football' series - described euphemistically on its website as 'the indoor soccer league featuring senior professionals' - take place on Wednesday night, at the London Arena in Docklands.
A squad of former Arsenal heroes and (it must be said) zeroes will compete against similar mobs from Charlton, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham and Wimbledon.
Among others turning out for the Gooners will be John Lukic, Ian Wright, Paul Davis, Liam Brady... and (brace yourselves) Eddie McGoldrick, Jimmy Carter and Raphael Meade. (Younger readers - ask your Dad.)
There's a bit more info on mastersfootball.com, or you can watch the horror for yourself live on Sky Sports 1. |
