True to recent tradition, there aren't any big shakeups in the Arsenal first team squad numbers for the next season, as revealed on AFCi. There are, however, two changes important enough for the players concerned: Nelson Vivas and Christopher Wreh have both been stripped of their squad numbers. Instead, new signings Robert Pires and Lauren have been handed numbers 7 and 12 respectively. Vivas and Wreh, along with Alberto Mendez, are on Arsenal's transfer list. Mendez lost his squad number 21 when he went to Greek football on loan last season. David Grondin, on loan to AS Cannes for the coming season, is also listed on AFCi's squad page without a shirt number. None of the younger players have been 'promoted' to a lower shirt number. Among the available shirts are Nigel Winterburn's number 3, Davor Suker's number 9 and Marc Overmars' number 11. That in itself doesn't mean that there are signings to come, but...
