The web site of the AEK (Athens) Internet Fan Club reports that on-loan Christopher Wreh is having something of an impact on Greek football.
Wreh has played in the majority of games since his arrival, and has scored 2 goals in 5 matches. He opened the scoring in a 6-2 win over Panelefsiniakos, and capped a 3-0 victory over Panionios. In his last 2 games though, he was subbed. Alberto Mendez, also on loan at AEK, has seen less action. He has only played in four games, starting two - but he was subbed both times. But good news on the disciplinary front - neither has been booked yet!
Things are looking pretty good for AEK, currently four points behind league leaders Olympiakos. However, their fate has been called into some doubt by the departure of AEK's Yugoslav manager Dragoslav Stepanovic a week ago, following an argument with the club president. |
