The two Arsenal players currently on loan in Greek football
have avoided their team's friendly match in Belgrade today,
Wednesday.
Alberto Mendez and Christopher Wreh both play
the last part of the season for AEK Athens. The club
from the Greek capital have agreed to play a friendly against
Partizan Belgrade to protest against NATO air strikes
and show solidarity to Serbia.
Wreh is instead on international duty with Liberia, while Mendez
has been allowed to stay in Athens. Full story appears on
Soccernet. |
