Icelandic midfielder Olafur-Ingi Skulason has gone back to his country of birth for the rest of the season. Fylkir AC, from
whom we signed him at the start of last season, have taken
him on loan. See Arsenal.com.
And French left-back David Grondin has been loaned to
Dunfermline is Scotland, also for the remainder of the season.
Grondin has been an Arsenal man since 1998 when he signed from St Etienne, heralded as a possible successor to Nigel Winterburn. But the rise of Ashley Cole scuppered that ambition, and since making a few starts in his first season at the club, he has spent most of the time loaned out, to Cannes in France and Beveren in Belgium.
