Young keeper Mark Howard has been loaned to Falkirk for the rest of the season.
Howard had a few games in the Austrian part of the pre-season schedule. He did ok, and may have been
hoping to be our 3rd choice stopper this season behind Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia. But the arrivial of
Mart Poom on loan from Sunderland put paid to any such opportunities, and Howard has in fact only manage to play
twice this season even for the reserves.
Clearly, the 19 year old needs to play more if he's going to get anywhere, and he should be able to do that at Falkirk who have
just sent their keeper Matt Glennon to Carlisle. |
