| Lazio boss will seal Anelka deal on Thursday |

Reports in the Italian press say that Lazio president Sergio Cragnotti will be flying into London on Thursday to seal the transfer of Nicolas Anelka.
In a bizarre game of Chinese Whispers, PA quotes an AFP report which says that Corriere dello Sport claims Cragnotti has 'received a fax from the English side confirming the deal would go ahead and quotes Arsenal vice-chairman Dein as saying: We will make one last try (to keep Anelka) and then we will give the green light for Anelka to go to Lazio.' Anelka would then leave for Italy on Friday.
