| Dein claims other Italian interest in Anelka |

According to today's Corriere dello Sport (reported by PA/SL), David Dein is refusing to accept a Lazio bid of £20m for Nicolas Anelka, saying that he has already received better offers from other clubs in Italy.
Suddenly Juventus, Parma and AC Milan are being mentioned as possible purchasers of the Frowning Frenchman. But Lazio remain confident: 'We'll just have to be patient,' said club president and tomato sauce baron Sergio Cragnotti. 'We're not giving up Anelka.'
Let's hope this added competition hoists the price a bit further... |
