Arsène Wenger has spoken out on the Anelka saga.
He says the striker's only motivation in seeking a move is
money, but Arsenal won't let him go till someone matches their
valuation. And Wenger is setting a deadline of July 19th to
settle the matter. Although they suggest is that it is still possible
that Anelka will be with us (or our reserves, at least) next season,
Wenger thinks he'll be leaving. He wants it over by Monday week.
As well as more on Anelka, this Football365 page has Wenger
confirming that he's considering a move for Brasilian striker
Christian, and that his shopping list has "two strikers"
on it.
