Arsene Wenger has spoken to the latest edition of France Football, which seems to be an increasingly common source in the Premiership rumour mill. It just goes to show...
And the big story is that Overmars is staying. 'People announcing they are going to sign him, are not serious and do not respect Arsenal,' said Wenger, 'because nobody has approached us -- even though it was announced he was signing for Barcelona. The situation concerning Marc Overmars is simple. He is under a four-and-a-half-year contract.'
And he also suggests that Dennis Bergkamp might be out until - gulp - March. 'Even when he recovers, he will need four or five matches to adjust,' says Le Boss. So unless it's the latest strike in the Ferguson-Wenger mind war, I think we can rule him out for next week's Big Game.
