According to reports in Holland, Arsène Wenger was
in Eindhoven the other night to watch PSV vs Feyenoord.
The word on the Dutch streets is that he wasn't watching
PSV striker Ruud van Nistelrooy (again), but rather
Feyenoord keeper Jurek (Jerzy) Dudek, who apparently played a
blinder as 10 man Feyenoord kept PSV out and won 1-0
(maybe, anyone care to translate?). Dudek is 26 and from Poland. Seems we get linked with every keeper going
at the moment. But I reckon the only way Seaman's leaving
is if we need to use him as bait to land some kind of
mega-star.
Italian TV station Italia1 was reporting yesterday
that Arsenal are trying to persuade 25 year old
Nigerian captain Sunday Oliseh to join us.
Oliseh is a close friend of Kanu, and one of many central
midfielders currently fighting for a place at Juve.
He not only plays with Kanu now for Nigeria
(through
to the QFs of the African Nations Cup), but
he used to play with both Kanu and Overmars at Ajax.
Must be true then.
