A Chelsea delegation wasn't the only English interest at the big PSV Eindhoven - Ajax game on Thursday. Arsene Wenger was apparently there too - perhaps sadly for all concerned, star striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy isn't for sale.
But there's a sign that a deal may be possible. 'Van Nistelrooy has asked that, if a so-called dream club comes forward, whether the club would be prepared to talk,' PSV's spokesman told the media - 'and we said yes.'
Mind you, as Chelsea's Colin Hutchinson pointed out, PSV-Ajax is a big game in European terms, a nice night out and surely worth watching in anyone's book. |
