Planet Football reckons that Nige is off to join Stephen Hughes at Everton in the summer. But Arseweb suggests that's less than likely. Nutty's automatic first-team days may be over at Arsenal, but he will know as well as anyone that a Champions' League campaign and the League programme will mean plenty of chances for a reserve left back/midfielder to pick up 20-30 appearances (and more silverware, which is still unlikely at Goodison). Look for denials from the great man himself in the days to come.
Meanwhile, Dennis tells Sporting Life he's considering extending his stay at Arsenal beyond 2001 (having been "set to leave," naturally). No doubt, as for Overmars, our recent solidification of marquee billing next season has something to do with it. If he isn't signed by next January and we're sitting in sixth and out of the CL, then there may be cause for worry... nahhh! |
