Davor Suker has been quoted as saying that he is currently considering offers from a number of clubs including one London club.
It's been assumed that he'll move to West Ham, because they've expressed an interest and because he's said he'd like to stay in London.
But one of the other offers is believed to come from Paris St Germain, and they're likely to be able to make a financial offer
which would sway Suker's head and put West Ham out of the running. Paris is meant to be quite nice too, Davor.
We wish him well, obviously, but I think most Arsenal fans would
prefer not to have to watch him knocking goals past us. Mind you it'd be less painful than watching Di Canio do it.
The latest club to link themselves with our Emmanuel Petit is
Bayern Munich. There seems to be nothing to this story beyond the
fact that Manu recently described Bayern as one of the few clubs that are above Arsenal (a list which, uncontroversially, consisted of Champions League semi-finalists).
The German press has been reading too much of the English press, with their coverage containing nonsense like "One thing is clear: Petit is not going to stay in the Premier League."
Ok, so maybe he'll go. (Maybe Overmars will go. Maybe Bergkamp will go. ..) But what is absolutely clear is that
Petit is under contract at Arsenal, Petit has not said he wants to leave, and Arsène Wenger has said that
Petit will be with us next season.
