| Makélélé and Pires, again... |

It appears Arsenal have pulled out of the chase for Claude Makélélé. His current club Celta Vigo have put an incredible £20 million tag to let him go (although half the mark should be more realistic) and Lorenzo Sanz dreams to line him up alongside Redondo in midfield. Besides the player himself has expressed his desire to play for Real Madrid.
As for Pires, his former coach at Marseille Rolland Courbis has joined our friends in Lens (poor souls...) and wants to add him to his squad, like he did when he arrived on the mediterranean shores. A meeting with Lens president has been postponed because the player was negociating with one English club which could be... Chelsea!!!
