It nows looks unlikely he will join Arsenal. French (along with Spanish) press report today his agent met Real Madrid representatives earlier this week and the deal, worth £6.5 million, is nearly finalized. The Spanish club wants to improve their midfield and they have already failed to sign "Ralph" Lauren and Makelélé. Notwithstanding that he had said he would enjoy playing for us, personal terms had not been agreed and he (still?) waits for MO11' s decision. Besides, Real Madrid is his beloved club, not Arsenal.
