So far there's nothing from the club itself, and it's noteworthy that the news comes very much from the player's camp. Not usually a positive sign, it has to be said. It seems probable that nothing has been finalised, and one can't help wondering if there will be a last-minute move from say Real Madrid as a result of this one-sided announcement. But if Pires really has chosen Arsenal ahead of them (and despite Anelka's recommendation), he will have to be given credit for that.
