The departure of Davor Suker has been confirmed, and
as expected he'll be back to haunt us with his new club
West Ham. Harry Redknapp has pointed out that his goalscoring
record speaks for itself, even at Arsenal where his opportunities became limited by the emergence of Theirry Henry.
Quite right too. Some people seem to think of Suker as having flopped at Arsenal, and some will find it hard to remember back
past his UEFA Cup final penalty. But in the first half of last season when he was playing more, Davor scored some spectacular goals, created more, and showed with many deft touches that he has to be one of the classiest players we've ever had. Not that any of us will regret what's happened as we watch Henry
banging them in on the big stage for France.
Good luck Davor.
Meanwhile, press coverage of the Edu deal seems to have gotten more confident as the day's gone on. Either they're getting carried away, or Arsenal have let something slip. The work permit question remains unanswered.
And in Spain the paper Marca claims that Arsenal have bid for another Brasilian international midfielder: Deportivo's Flavio, who played against us in the UEFA Cup.
