A not particularly convincing report on Soccerage.com claims to have spoken to a rather evasive Arsene Wenger about transfer targets.

He admits to interest in Edmilson, but says that Edu is not a done deal - someone better tell the player, quickly. Likewise, he (apparently) says he's keen on buying Pires - the first real confirmation of interest, if it's true.

The only direct quote in the piece - 'Overmars is staying at Arsenal' - suggests the Figo swap deal may be off. Not that it was ever on.
