AFCi has released Arsenal's official announcement of the signing of both Edu and Robert Pires. Edu (full name Eduardo Cesar Daud Gaspar) from Brasilian club Corinthians is described as a central midfielder, and Pires (from Marseilles) as an attacking midfielder. Both are said to have signed long term contracts for an undisclosed fee.
The text of the statement contains a tantalising quote from Wenger: "... we are hoping to add one more name before the start of
the new season." |
