Arsenal are invariably linked with dozens of players in the close season, more often than not by the players' own agents in attempts to increase their market value.
The latest rumour, reported widely, links Arsenal with Andrejs Rubins, 21 or 22 depending on reports, and an international winger for Latvia. Manager Arsène Wenger is supposed to have contacted the Latvian FA in order to check on Rubins' availability; an uorthodox method, it could seem.
Rubins is supposed to be a "brilliant prospect", one of the "best young players in the Baltic" etc. etc. |
