Arsene Wenger, commenting on the signing of Lithuanian international striker Tomas, has said that he's hoping for good news on the continuing Edu saga by the end of next week (ie. before Christmas).

Says Le Boss: 'Edu still wants to come and says that he is entitled to a Portuguese passport through his grandfather. Our agreement with Corinthians is that we can still sign him if he can get the right passport before January, but there will be no renegotiation over the fee which we have already budgeted.'
