There have been renewed reports in the last few days,
that Lazio could be interested in taking Arsène Wenger from us. The suggestion is that Valencia boss Hector Cuper is their first choice, with Wenger running a close second.
Lazio could double Wenger's wages.
But in today's Mirror le boss has responded by reiterating his commitment to the Gunners. "I would never break my contract with Arsenal and I will definitely see out the remaining 2 seasons."
He also expressed his worries about the transfer system again, saying that if it's changed it could put him off managing a club altogether. "I would not leave Arsenal for another club. It would just mean international football would be more attractive."
"But I want to take Arsenal further and make them successful for many years".
Rest assured that David Dein is poised to try to give those words life in the shape of a new extended contract, just as soon as the transfer system business is sorted out. |
