A former Arsenal captain has left the club. Nelson Vivas, who last season captained Arsenal in the League Cup defeat to Ipswich, has signed a two-year contract with Italian giants Internazionale in Milan. Ronaldo's new teammate played only 19 games for Arsenal last season. He signed for Arsenal after France 98, where the regular Argentina right-back gave away more free kicks than any other player. He's never established himself in Arsenal's first team, and spent the season before last on loan at Spanish top side Celta Vigo. All in all, Vivas played 64 games for Arsenal, scoring once. Despite his reputation, he only received three yellow cards, according to arsenal.com stats. On Inter's television channel, Vivas said: "I are extremely happy to have arrived at a great club like this - one of the most prestigious in Europe." It's interesting to see that a player ridiculed by many Arsenal fans have found a new top European club without much difficulty. More about the Bosman signing at Ananova.
