Dutch midfielder Mark van Bommel has told friends he is set to join Arsenal as Patrick Vieira's midfield replacement. The friends, it seems, have spoken to the Sun. The PSV Eindhoven and Holland star is rated at GBP 13 million, a third of the amount speculated to seal a possible Vieira move to Real Madrid. Van Bommel has signed with Rob Jansen, the same agent who represented Dennis Bergkamp in 1995 and Marc Overmars in 1997, when they came to Arsenal. The international midfielder has resisted inquiries from Manchester United. |
