The FA committee charged with overseeing the rebuilding of Wembley Stadium (chaired, reassuringly, by Chelsea chairman Ken Bates) has finally unveiled the artist's impression drawings of the new English National Stadium.
The Twin Towers have gone, to be replaced in the public consciousness by four big pointy masts. Judge for yourself on the official website: www.wembleynationalstadium.com (although it's disturbing to note that the main design motif through the site is still the Twin Towers!). Their main claim to fame seems to be that the toilet provision will be 10% up on the award winning North Bank. |
