Wembley, the Holiday Home of Football (TM) is apparently going to be broken up and flogged on the Internet.
The Evening Standard reckons that Wembley National Stadium has been in talks with internet auction company QXL about arranging a huge sell-off to raise funds for the rebuilding process.
If you're especially attached to the seat you were given by the Arsenal box office, you can buy it and take it home. Or if you want the ambulance and beds from the medical room, or The Red Carpet, they're up for grabs too.
But the really big stuff - such as the crossbar which Geoff Hurst struck in some game during the mid-60s - is to be kept for a museum. |
