Arsenal have released a statement (reproduced in full here on AFCi), naming a site in Ashburton Grove as one of the possibilities for a new stadium. As far as ArseWeb is aware this site, a mere stone's throw from the current stadium, has not been mentioned in any previous rumour. The statement implies that if it passes muster in a feasibility study (looking into access, parking, traffic, public transport, etc) it will be the site for the new stadium. Being roughly half way between the current stadium and Holloway Rd tube station it would obviously suit most fans too. It is currently half owned by Islington Council who would cooperate in facilitating its purchase.
The statement also mentions Kings Cross and one other (unnamed) site as being the only other possibilities for relocation.

and neighbouring stations.
