Arsenal lined up with Edu and Stepanovs in for Vieira and Adams, and Luzhny at right back.

The first goal came from an Ashley Cole cross which Wiltord mishit to Ljungberg who scored nicely.

Within a minute Wiltord was suppled by Parlour who turned and nutmegged a defender to beat debutant Nash in the City goal.

Then Kanu's pass gave Ljungberg his second, with a neat chip over Nash.

And 10 minutes before halftime, Wiltord's backheel for Cole bamboozled the defence, and Ashley's cross found Kanu in loads of space in the box for an easy goal.

A terrific way to cap an incredible 10 days. And the reserves didn't suffer too badly tonight either, as they put 6 past Charlton. See here.
