Arsenal travel to Sunderland with the same quandary
in defence. With Adams and Dixon out, and Ashley Cole still
not back from the hamstring injury picked up
against Panathinaikos 10 days ago, Le Boss has to decide
once again between Gio van Bronckhorst and Matthew Upson
at left back.
Gilles Grimandi is also reported to be out, and Richard
Wright continues to deputise for Seaman.
Sunderland have Niall Quinn facing a late fitness test,
having had trouble with his back and ankle. Jason McAteer
should get his home debut, and Emerson Thome returns after
a knee injury.
A win would be excellent, with Leeds and Man Utd taking points off each other. But after last year's trip to the Stadium of Light,
perhaps we should be happy if we just come away with no disciplinary
stitch-ups hanging over us.
