It looks like Arsenal's injury crisis is easing up. Arsene Wenger will still be without seven of his first team squad through injury for the visit to Newcastle, but Le Boss hinted today that Lauren WILL make tomorrow's crucial clash with the Magpies.

Oleg Luzhny will also be available again after sitting out the Leverkusen game through suspension, but Ray Parlour is banned. Dennis Bergkamp is available for selection again after serving his domestic suspension (another goal like the one you scored on Wednesday please Dennis!) and Kanu is also included in the squad after shaking off a hamstring injury.

Newcastle have injury worries of their own. They will be without influential striker Craig Bellamy who has damaged his knee and Kieron Dyer who is rapidly developing into the new Darren Anderton (or is that Francis Jeffers?). Former Wimbledon man Carl Cort will replace Bellamy up front for the Magpies in a game which will go a long way to determining the destiny of the Premiership title. Let's hope we get a decent ref this time!

Rupe adds...
Arsenal have been hit by the news that Thierry Henry picked up an abdominal injury in the Leberhosen match on Wednesday, and is definitely out of the Newcastle match this evening. Kanu, Wiltord, and Bergkamp are all available,. With Parlour Freddie and Gio all out too, Wiltord seems likely to retain his midfield spot, with Kanu and Dennis up front. Aliadiere will presumably be on the bench.

There's no news at this stage of the extent of Henry's problem, but he has not travelled north with the squad. Meanwhile, Bobby Robson has been bleating about the fact that the charge against Henry for his behaviour at the end of the last Arsenal-Newcastle match has still not been heard. It has to be said, it has been a strangely long time. See OneFootball for more on both stories.
