| Arsenal initiative for winter break |

Arsenal manager Arsčne Wenger will officially propose a winter break in the Premiership season when the league managers later this month. The suggestion has been made earlier by England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson, among others. The proposal means a three week break for the Premier League in January, after the traditional Christmas and New Year fixtures. Arsenal vice chairman David Dein says: "This will allow players to recharge their batteries." The Sun is appalled... |
