Patrick Vieira will be missing from the team at Leicester today, but it's just a precaution to make sure his comeback from injury is smooth. He played the full 90 minutes against Wolves on Tuesday,
having been expected to play only an hour, and reported no ill effects whatsoever. But last time he came back a bit too quickly and suffered more than a month more on the sidelines as a result, so it's not surprising that Le Boss is being ultra-cautious.
More worryign though, is the news that Thierry Henry is out. He picked up a leg muscle problem during training this week, and it's not clear yet whether he might be available for the game against Lokomotiv on Wednesday. Since Wenger said recently that he doesn't rest Henry, but will only leave him out if he has to, one has to assume that he is a doubt for the Champs League decider.
Presumably we'll play one of Kanu and Bergkamp alongside one of Wiltord or Aliadiere. I'm sure I'm not the only Arsenal fan that'll be hoping that Aliadiere gets to play.
Ray Parlour is injured and Lauren is suspended (the last of his 4 match ban, but he may still be injured too). Martin Keown is available again but, having only just come back from a calf injury in the Wolves game, he may be rested for Wednesday especially if Toure is going to be required to play right0-back in that one. To be fair, Cygan's done alright.
Leicester strikers Paul Dickov and Andy Impey have been doubtful with back and ankle injuries respectively, but have been in training and could feature. Muzzy Izzet is suspended, and Frank Sinclair and Mark Jones are both out with long-term injuries. |
