Team news for Rovers this afternoon by Rupe

Dennis Bergkamp is out of today's game at Ewood Park, after hurting his ribs in Wednesday's win over Celta Vigo. Can't imagine how that happened! It can't have been that he was kicked in the chest by the Celta keeper can it? (because the "best referee in the world" couldn't possibly have missed such a thing).

Wiltord (ankle) and Parlour (knee) are still 3 weeks from fitness, but Jeremie Aliadiere (thigh) could be ok in a week or so.

Arsene Wenger has hinted that he may shuffle the pack a little, resting 2 or 3 players. So don't be surprised to see Clichy, Keown, Kanu, and/or Bentley, perhaps.

Rovers will be missing one of their recent striker signings, Jonathan Stead, who has had a hamstring injury and probably won't be back. Gary Flitcroft and Paul Gallagher are also out with hamstrings, and they've got several important long-term injuries including Barry Ferguson, David Thompson, Lorenzo Amoruso.

If Stead fails his fitness test then Matt Jansen will make his 100th start for Rovers.

Since they did the double over us last year (including our last away loss in the league), the most signifiant change must be the loss of Damien Duff.
