And maybe a not very surprising one...
Arsene Wenger receives another Manager of the Month Award. How many is that now? 2 last season plus Manager of the Year. 1 the year before, and 1 in 01/02 plus another Manager of the Year. OK – I’m not going to list it all because you can always look it up yourself on premierleague.com …
Where you can also read how Reyes has made it a double for Arsenal with his Player of the Month Award.
And, yes, I’m trying to ignore the whole ‘poison chalice’ idea of these awards. It’s apparently not true that if you win one of these awards you go on to have a crap time afterwards. At least, not according to The Guardian back in 2002…
…but we’ll find out either way by Saturday afternoon just how poisoned it was.
