Teams news for Fulham on Boxing Day by Rupe
on 24/12/04 at 14:29
this is story 507 of 603 in this topic to date
It looks like Luis Boa Morte might have recovered from his hmastring injury in time for the Boxing Day clash at Highbury. Keeper Mark Crossley may also return for Fulham following a groin problem. He had established himself before sustaining that injury last month, and Edwin van der Saar has not been his old self while deputising. Claus Jensen, often a thorn in our side, also has a hamstring injury and may not play, but former Aresnal man Moritz Volz will be hoping to regain his right back position from Leroy Rosenior. Alain Goma is back in the squad having recovered from an injury. Malbranque, Legwinski and Cole are the obvious threats, and Boa Morte if he plays. But watch out for Papa Boupa Diop too.

Clichy will play at left back for Arsenal since Ashley Cole is suspended (5 yellow cards). Freddie Ljungberg may return, but after the surprise inclusions of Clichy and van Persie at Portsmouth on Sunday, perhaps there will be more shuffling over xmas. Pennant perhaps? Fabregas will probably return, but Edu is not quite ready yet, and anyway we don't expect him to play for the first team unless he signs a new contract.
