Freddie Ljungberg misses the visit of Fulham with the knee problem that saw him go off against Chelsea, but Reyes is in contention for his first game of the season so Pires might switch to the right. Or perhaps Cesc will play on the right as he did a few times last season, with one of Pires/Hleb/Flamini partnering Gilberto in the middle. Freddie is being rested but the bruising caused by a collision with the advertising hoardings at Stamford Bridge is said not to be serious.
Wenger may well also recall Dennis Bergkamp, but he faces a late fitness test after experiencing trouble with his back in training.
Sol Campbell is training but won't be ready for a few more games.
Life after Edwin van der Sar is proving problematic for Fulham, with Jaroslav Drobny and Mark Crossley both unavailable, it's on-loan Tony Warner who has to keep Arsenal out. He's not helped by injuries to defenders Alain Goma and Carlos Bocanegra. Volz and Boa Morte face their former club, but judging from experience if Fulham are to score their first Highbury win tonight (or even their second point in 8 premiership matches) it's Radzinski and Malbranque that we need to watch out for.
