Team news for tonight (Vivas not Upson?) by Rupe
on 25/10/00 at 16:24
this is story 139 of 365 in this topic to date
Contrary to yesterday's reports, today's papers say that Nelson Vivas, not Matthew Upson, will partner Oleg Luzhny in tonight's makeshift defence.

Vivas has done it before, and Wenger will have fewer doubts over his fitness than Upson's. But what we're talking about here is 2 players both of whom are more comfortable in other positions. Should be "interesting".

Down our left flank, both Silvinho and Ljungberg are struggling to overcome minor knocks.

Wenger has also hinted that Bergkamp will start tonight.

See match preview for Sparta links, head-to-head stats, etc.

If any ArseWeb readers out there can read Czech, please visit the official Sparta site and let us know if there's any team news there. The English version doesn't extend to the news items. Thanks.

Ian has sent us the URL of a translation engine with Czech-to-English capability. Well, I say "capability", but.....

see preview page for more!

And Tom writes with something a bit more concrete:

"Svoboda (midfield) is out, but Lengyel, Hornák (both defence) and Tomás Jun (striker) are all fit again and travel to London. Normal goalkeeping service is also resumed with the return of Blazek." As he says, we'll find out in a couple of hours anyway.
