Defence is the worry for Arsenal, with Stepanovs and
Keown ruled out through ineligibility and injury
respectively. There are also slight fitness doubts over
both Adams and Dixon.
So it seems likely that we'll see Luzhny, either deputising for Lee or Martin. Grimandi is in the squad
so hopefully is over the knee problem which kept him
out of the Chelsea game. If his services are required in
central defence, Parlour will play alongside
Vieira in the middle of the park.
Silvinho played for the reserves on Monday but is
not fully match fit yet.
The other problem is of course up front, where Arsène Wenger faces the nightmare of four fully fit world class strikers. Two of them won't start the game, and if the papers are right then the other two will be handing in their notice at half-time (note: the papers aren't right).
Olympique Lyonnais have no new injury worries.
Le Boss has been warning against complacency. Lyon apparently are the type of team which can do better away from home (see
AFCi).
Against that, there's the fact that Arsenal are far better at home, and we won at their place last week....
