Arsenal go into the match tonight with an almost full-strength squad. The only absentee is Dennis Bergkamp. That leaves Wenger with the choice of Kanu or Wiltord to partner Henry up front. Kanu looked in good form when he came on against Tottenham on Sunday, but the question is whether guile or speed is best suited to breaking down possibly the only defence in Europe with more experience than Arsenal's.
Gilles Grimandi is fit again following the flu that kept him out on Saturday, but he's likely to start on the bench as Le Boss sticks with the partnerships of Adams/Keown and Vieira/Lauren.
The midfield axis is not certain, Soccernet reckon that Ljungberg will start instead of Lauren (with Parlour presumably moving infield). Also Wenger has said that Edu is close to full fitness now and could be involved at some point this evening.
Ashley Cole is expected to retain his left-back slot (and Wenger has admitted that he may have to think about moving one of Cole & Silvinho forward into midfield at some point).
Valencia's main doubt is over Argentine playmaker Pablo Aimar.
He passed a fitness test on Monday and travelled with the squad, but he hasn't actually played for a while so could be on the bench. Didier Deschamps is definitely out, probably for the second leg too.
