The booking mistakenly given to Valencia defender (and goalscorer)
Fabian Ayala in Wednesday's CL quarter-final first leg has been rescinded by UEFA.
Ayala would have missed the second leg if the booking, his 3rd of the competition, had stood. But it was quite rightly overturned. The ref should have booked Angloma, who had fouled Kanu just outside the box.
The good news is that Angloma will not be suspended. Henry, Ljungberg, Cole and Pires all looked to have the beating of him down our left flank.
